Graphic design and print

Not every piece of work lives online. Some of it is printed, picked up, and put down again.

The job of a property sheet is not beauty, it is order. The price and the floor area have to be there within two seconds, the energy certificate details required by German law cannot be missing, and the floor plan has to stay readable when somebody sticks the sheet on the fridge in the kitchen.

The floor plan is drawn, not photographed. Exterior walls 36 centimetres, interior walls 15, door openings with their swing, windows drawn as a sill inside the wall. The sheet itself is in German, the way it would go out to buyers here.

A card has no room for arguments, it has to be recognised inside a wallet. So the front carries only the name, as large as the card allows, and one line at the bottom saying what the business does and since when.

The back turns that around: small type, a lot of quiet, name, address, phone, email. The wordmark sits underneath once more, blind embossed, so without ink, only as a relief in the board. In print that costs one more pass, and it is the only thing you can feel on the card.
